Wolves star Pedro Neto will miss the rest of the season with a knee injury while midfielder Ruben Neves has tested positive for Covid-19.
A Wolves statement confirmed : “Pedro Neto will miss the rest of the Premier League season after suffering an injury to his knee. The Portuguese was withdrawn in the first-half of Wolves 1-0 win at Fulham on Friday night, before being assessed over the weekend. Wolves’ medical team provided the following update on Neto, Ruben Neves and other first-team players who are currently unavailable or undergoing treatment. Pedro Neto suffered a significant injury to his patella (knee cap) during the match against Fulham and, following a review with a knee specialist in London at the weekend, surgery has been planned for later this week. Unfortunately, he is not expected to return to play until next season. Jonny saw a specialist for his knee ligament injury, and his surgery is also planned for later this week. Marcal is making very good progress following surgery to his groin, although as yet, no date has been set for his return. Ruben Neves has tested positive for Covid-19 and is self-isolating in line with government guidance.”

Pedro Neto posted on Twitter: “Another obstacle that appears and that I will overcome. It will be difficult months away from the place where I most like to be but I will recover in the best way to return stronger than ever that is guaranteed. Thank you all for the messages.”
