Nathan Ake still believes that Manchester City have the Premier League title race in their hands as they try to chase down Arsenal. While the momentum is with Arsenal, there is enough quality and experience in the City side for them not to be written off. And, with both fixtures against Mikel Arteta’s leaders still to be played, Ake reckons that they can use those fixtures to take advantage in the title race.
Nathan Ake said: “For us it is just good to our keep run going. We had two good games before and now this one does that. Obviously when we play them again in a couple of weeks it will be a totally different game, but it’s always good to win – especially against a team like this and it can only do us good. They’re a top team. We saw that last year when we played them in January. They were already looking really good and it was difficult against them. Today it showed again, they pressed us very high and it was difficult to play out. So yes, it’s tough to play against them – they are a top team and doing really well. We just have to keep focused on ourselves. As long as we do our thing, game by game, trying to win every one of them. Arsenal are doing so well this season but we still have to play them twice so yes, it’s up to us really.
