Enzo Maresca Embraces ‘Nice Pressure’ of Title Race While Reflecting on Chelsea vs. Arsenal

Enzo Maresca was responding to a question during his pre-match press conference for the Southampton game about whether he believed Chelsea was in the title race.

Enzo Maresca said “Absolutely, yes.”

He further explained that while being in the title race brings a certain kind of pressure, it’s a welcome challenge, contrasting Chelsea’s current position with Arsenal’s recent performances against top teams.

Enzo Maresca said “To be in the title race, it is a nice pressure for me and the players. It’s not that kind of pressure that you don’t like. It’s that kind of pressure that you like because you are in the title race, but it is not our case. Arsenal, in the last two years, they were very, very close to City and Liverpool, they have been there. We were not there.”
