The interim Senegal manager provided an update on the Everton forward, Iliman Ndiaye, after an injury scare. Ndiaye, who has been a standout performer for Everton this season, suffered an injury during Senegal’s 4-0 victory over Malawi last week. The 24-year-old forward, a key player since his transfer from Marseille, was substituted due to an ankle issue. It was reported by Wiw Sports (h/t Sport Witness) that Ndiaye had not trained over the weekend, and his condition was closely monitored ahead of the team’s second game against Malawi on Tuesday.
The interim Senegal manager said, “Iliman was injured during the match. He trained yesterday even though he wasn’t with the group on the pitch. He was at the hotel, he trained. So he is at my disposal, now we’ll see tomorrow! It could be him or someone else. You’ll see tomorrow.”
Ndiaye has excelled for Everton since his arrival, and Everton manager Sean Dyche will be hoping that Senegal takes no chances with Ndiaye’s fitness. This concern arises as Everton faces a crucial fixture against Ipswich Town at Portman Road this weekend.
