Leicester City striker Islam Slimani says his loan side, AS Monaco, haven’t discussed him making a permanent move to the principality side. And he understands why given the effects the coronavirus pandemic is having on the way clubs are operating. The striker, who was signed for a club-record £29 million deal in summer 2016 on the back of the 2015-16 Premier League title win, looked certain to end his City nightmare this summer. After three loan moves away from the club in the past two years, he has fallen away from the first-team picture.
Islam Slimani said “No, the club haven’t communicated anything to me, and I find that logical in the current context, No one can take immediate decisions. Either way, my contract runs until June 30th. I think I’ve done well with ASM, We’ll see after what happens”.
