Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Raul Jimenez admits that it was “hard” and “emotional” to see his former boss Nuno Espirito Santo get upset in a new documentary about the player’s comeback. The Wolves forward says that it was “emotional” seeing contributions from those close to him in the documentary centring around his recovery from the head injury, including former manager Nuno.
Raul Jimenez said: “It’s emotional to see all the people who appear in it. Without all their support and my teammates and family being there (my comeback was) not possible. All of the people who appear there, even people who weren’t in the documentary, they have their feelings that they had never told before. I think that was a moment for them to show it. It’s good to know the affection they have for me. Looking at Nuno in the interview like that, it’s hard. That’s something we didn’t know. All humans have that emotional part.”
The documentary, Raul Jimenez: Code Red, was made and produced by Wolves’ in-house media before being picked up by the BBC for broadcasting.
