Slavisa Jokanovic says he was ‘happy and satisfied’ with his first day’s training session as manager. The new Blades boss walked through the doors of Shirecliffe this morning to officially kick-start his Sheffield United reign. He met the players and staff for the first time, before overseeing training. And he could not have chosen a better day, with the weather resembling ‘Ibiza’.
Slavisa Jokanovic said: “It’s been a busy day for me, it’s my first day in the building. People have tried to explain to me where I am. I have just finished my first training session on the field and I am happy and satisfied. It’s only one session and there is a lot of work ahead of us, but in general the sensation is positive. It’s a great start, but I have not come here for this morning, I am here to stay for a long time. The weather has been perfect, like in Ibiza in Sheffield, but I know this will soon change.”
The 52-year-old has signed a three-year contract and will be presented to the media tomorrow.
