Some Arsenal supporters thought they may have spotted a potential hint about the Gunners’ plans for this summer’s transfer window. After finishing eighth in the Premier League table and missing out on European football for the first time in 25 years, big changes are planned at the Emirates Stadium this summer in a bid to turn the club back into a more competitive force. However, the chances of the Gunners signing Fofana this summer, even though a deal was always unlikely because of his increased valuation, have now been shot, after the Foxes ace posted a message on Instagram after seeing the image of him in a Gunners shirt go
Wesley Fofana said: “Ok mates. I have been tricked by some former friends wearing an Arsenal jersey. I played a football game [as coach, I cannot run] with some friends and at the end we exchanged jerseys. I have been photographed in, what I thought, was my private sphere. I had obviously no thinking that what was a friendly game and joke will end up in social networks. I feel sorry for our [Leicester] fans and angry against the guys that have seized the opportunity to make this bad buzz. Sorry for all Arsenal friends, I have strictly no problem with red, but only the blue is in my heart.”
