Patrick Cutrone was encouraged to join Valencia by Nuno – and now that the Italian has landed in La Liga, he is hopeful of staying there for good. Now that he is in Spain, he has explained the influence Nuno had on his decision and how he hopes that he can earn a long-term stay at the club.
Patrick Cutrone said: “Of course, it’s my objective. I want to do well on the pitch to stay, that’s what I want. As soon as I heard about the interest, I said yes. Nuno also spoke to me very well about the club. I know the importance of Valencia, its history. For different reasons, I changed teams several times. I want to give back to Valencia the confidence they gave me, to earn my continuity. I am happy. I will give everything to stay here.”
The forward made four appearances for Wolves in January as they sought to plug the gap left in Raul Jimenez’s absence, but once Jose arrived Cutrone was permitted to leave again. He made for Valencia, Nuno’s former club, and made his debut from the bench in the draw with Athletic Bilbao last weekend.
