After the reports emerged that Sean Dyche’s frustration over contracts and transfer funds could see him leave Burnley this summer, the Clarets boss denies his frustration over the situation was indicative of larger problems in his relationship with the board. Dyche has been outspoken about how chairman Mike Garlick and the board have handled the club’s out of contract players. The situation was so bad for Burnley that they could only name seven players in the bench instead of allowed nine on the substitute bench against Manchester City.
Sean Dyche said “I had to chuckle because I heard somebody say the other night it’s the first time that Sean Dyche has questioned the board, I think most boards would be happy if they only got questioned every seven-and-a-half years.”
