Jack Grealish has heaped praise on Aston Villa teammate Keinan Davis, and said: “In training he has been absolutely unplayable.” The skipper believes the striker’s Premier League debut was fully deserved after impressing over the last four weeks at Bodymoor Heath. Davis was menacing against Sheffield United and almost scored in either half – but for a misplaced header and a cracking save by Dean Henderson.
Jack Grealish said “He was brilliant. I bet you there’s fans of ours who don’t know too much about him and fans who probably didn’t expect him to play. But he’s come back fit and sharp and, honestly, in training he has been absolutely unplayable so from a few people’s point of view it was a no-brainer giving him a start. He done himself justice out there. It was just a shame he couldn’t get himself on the scoresheet. We’re going to give it our all. It’s weird playing without the fans. I’m gutted because personally I love performing in front of them. But if they can just keep supporting us we will hopefully get the results and stay up. It takes some getting used to. It doesn’t feel like a competitive game but you try not to feel like that.”
