Aston Villa Chief Executive Christian Purslow against hosting premier league matches on neutral venues and has described that it would be a massive disadvantage for his side who is fighting relegation and has 2/3rds of their wins this season on home ground.
Christian Purslow said ” Personally I am against it, We are a club that prides itself on our home form, I think two-thirds of our wins this season have come at home. We have got six home games left to play so I think any Villa fan would agree giving up that advantage is a massive decision for somebody running Aston Villa and I certainly wouldn’t agree to that unless the circumstances were right.”
Brighton’s CEO Paul Barber, Watford’s Scott Duxbury and West Ham’s Karren Brady have already made similar comments.
