Jurgen Klopp conceded he thought Liverpool had “no chance” of securing a Champions League spot a few weeks ago as the Reds booked their place in the top four.
Jurgen Klopp said: “Unbelievable. No chance I would have said five weeks, 10 weeks ago, no chance. But what the boys have made out of this situation is absolutely incredible, and the way they played today is an example. It’s an example of all young kids in Liverpool academy. If you work really hard there is a lot possible in this club. They both have a cut, they both need to be stitched but they both came through the game. Rhys couldn’t train the last three days because he had a hamstring problem. He didn’t train a second but just came and played today. All these kind of things, there are so many incredible stories throughout this season.”
