Pep Guardiola has stressed the race for the Premier League title remains in Manchester City’s control after they returned to the top of the table courtesy of a comfortable win over Leeds United.
Pep Guardiola said: “It is in our hands. Newcastle, Wolves, West Ham and Aston Villa. We know exactly what we have to do and we have the same opinion. We win, will be champions. We drop [points], they will be champions.”
City and Liverpool, just like in the 2018/19 campaign, have maintained high standards throughout this term and look set for another dramatic end to the season as they push each other to the very end. Asked if he is relishing the pressure that fighting for the title brings,
Pep Guardiola said: “I prefer to feel the pressure than not feel it. It is a long season and now it is the last effort. We have the semi-final with Madrid in four days and then after the last four games in the Premier League.”
