Slavisa Jokanovic says he is ‘hopeful of results soon’ regarding new arrivals having held a series of talks with the club’s key recruitment figures. As previously reported, the new Blades boss is not planning a major overhaul of the playing squad, insisting on evolution not revolution. However, he does intend to freshen up the team with new faces as he prepares his side for what fans hope will be a Sheffield United promotion push next season.
Slavisa Jokanovic said: “Of course we are looking to freshen up, but there won’t be a lot of movement in the squad. We may need to be a little patient for some support on the club side, but at the same time we are looking at the loan market too, which can be a little bit cheaper. My opinion is that we need some fresh blood. I have only been working for the club a few weeks. The club has tried to help me and tried giving me some information about possible positions that we need. At the same time they also give me some options. Naturally, from my side, I try and offer them different options and this is one process that is starting and I am hopeful of some results soon.”
