Jack Harrison admits there was an element of fortune about his goal as the Leeds United winger played a key role during their 4-0 victory over lowly Burnley. It’s a result that means Leeds will remain in the top half of the table at the end of this Premier League weekend. Indeed, following this victory, they are four points clear of 11th-placed Aston Villa – who visit Crystal Palace at 12pm tomorrow afternoon.
Jack Harrison said: “I meant to just direct it towards goal, but I wasn’t sure if I was offside. Luckily for us, I was onside. Rodri makes some brilliant runs and you can see the quality that he has to finish it off. Two class finishes. The first five minutes of the game, they were all over us. They kept us in our own box and made it very difficult for us to play out. We defended well and managed to get through that tough period as a team.”
On the decision to bring Rodrigo and Tyler Roberts off the bench and switch systems in the second half,
Jack Harrison added: “After that we settled down and played out game. Maybe it was a little bit different. The manager is respected all around the world for that reason, his tactics. Both players are class. They bring a lot to the team and we played well.”
