His impressive form for both club and country has sparked speculation among fans that Manchester United should consider re-signing him in the upcoming summer transfer window.
Jack Grealish said, “Yeah you know it was top [the assist]. I can’t remember exactly what happened but I think I came inside and Trent [Alexander-Arnold] ended up out wide and Jude [Bellingham]… but listen, I play with Angel in training every day and I know what a top player he is. I haven’t watched it back yet but I can remember it being a brilliant assist.”
Should Gomes choose not to sign a new contract with Lille, Manchester United would be in a position to negotiate with him over a potential deal starting in January, leveraging FIFA’s Bosman rule.
