Cole Palmer discussed his decision to leave Manchester City for Chelsea and the hesitations he initially felt about the move.
Cole Palmer said “I got persuaded.”
During the transfer negotiations between Chelsea and City, Cole Palmer recalled a specific moment from his day-to-day routine while the deal was being finalized.
Cole Palmer said “I remember training on a Wednesday at City in the afternoon, and the news was, ‘They (Chelsea) are trying to agree a fee’. Every time the ball went out I’d ask the kit man or the doctor if they’ve agreed the fee yet.”
Cole Palmer explained his departure experience from Manchester City, mentioning how he didn’t have the opportunity to say goodbye to many people due to the nature of the transfer.
Cole Palmer said “I didn’t really get a chance to see many people and say I’m going. I just had to get my stuff. I messaged the group chat, said ‘Thanks and everything. I just knew I wasn’t going to play as much as I wanted to.'”
