Newcastle United have been really impressive since the return of football and have been unbeaten in the league since then. They thrashed Bournemouth 4-1 away at Vitality stadium and Former Liverpool and Blackburn player Stephen Warnock believes that Bruce is ‘auditioning’ for his role for when the new ownership will take place at the club.
Stephen Warnock said “I love Steve Bruce. I think he is brilliant at what he does and what he brings to a club, This is now like an audition for the new owners coming in to show the diversity of what he can do. ‘I am not just a defensive manager and once I have got the right players and the right formation this is what I can do.’ Don’t forget this was Bournemouth who are bang average at the moment but if there ever was a time to try a new formation and to try things, tonight was the time. They are safe and it was the right time to do it and credit to the players and credit to the manager. He has done a terrific job and the Newcastle fans weren’t happy with him coming in but Rafa Benitez did not play exciting football. Steve Bruce has gone in there, done a similar job, got paid a fraction of what Rafa did and he is doing a better job than what Rafa did.”
