RALPH Hasenhuttl revealed he plans to give both Alex McCarthy and Fraser Forster game-time between now and the end of the season. Asked how pleased he was with McCarthy’s performance against Leicester,
Ralph Hasenhuttl said: “Absolutely, a great performance. I said I want to give both keepers in the last six games a chance to play, every time two games. So it can be that Fraser makes the next two games because I want to give everybody a chance to play. I think he (Alex) did a good job (on Friday).”
Quizzed on if that decision is down to being unsure who will be his number one at the start of next season,
Ralph Hasenhuttl confirmed: “Yes. I think they deserve to play the final games, because both were important for us this season. Both showed that they can be a good goalkeeper for us and this is the reason why I want to do this.”
