Chris Wilder said “Got to be at the top of your ability against Man City, when you keep turning the ball over in the manner that we did first half and second half in good positions, good players keep it away from you or counter attack on you and that’s what they did, simple as that. When you don’t win games of football people will talk about team selection and things like that but when you can’t pass it from A to B and make poor individual decisions with the ball and give it back to them good players keep it away from you. That’s why they are unbelievable players, because they come with a price tag and CV that gets them a game at Man City. I fancied us and thought there was an opportunity to get something from the game. We had to stay in the game at times, which everyone has to when they play against Manchester City, and you have to take your opportunities when they come because you are not going to dominate and control a team like City but my disappointment was that we didn’t do enough with the ball to put them on the back foot and try and affect the result.
