Jurgen Klopp has outlined the moment that he knew winning trophies at Liverpool was different from his previous clubs. The former Mainz and Borussia Dortmund manager had enjoyed success before moving to Anfield but four major honours within the last year stand as a remarkable success. Speaking in a new LFCTV documentary, Klopp revealed the ‘strange situation’ which made him realise what his side had achieved.
Jurgen Klopp said “I realised winning something with Liverpool is completely different to winning something with any other club in the world because we flew pretty far, Part of our holiday was in Las Vegas, part of the holiday was in Tulum, Mexico, and wherever we arrived people were waiting and in LFC T-shirts. We arrived in Las Vegas at the hotel, a pretty big hotel, and obviously the guy responsible for the room service was obviously a massive LFC supporter! When we came in they had made a big cake with the Champions League trophy and my name on it! That’s a strange situation. It’s nice but on the other side it’s like, ‘I’m on holiday now; come on, ladies and gentlemen.”
