Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan has thrown a warning to Liverpool that his side knows exactly what areas they need to improve for Manchester City to reclaim the premier league title. The German admitted that Liverpool deserved the title after 30 years and that City were not good enough this campaign but believes that the side still has a lot of motivation to win the title next year.
Ilkay Gundogan said “We know where we can improve next season to challenge for the title again, We won the title back-to-back which is always tough but the motivation for next season will be there to win it again. We dropped too many unnecessary points that we didn’t last season and lost too many home games in comparison to when we were unbeatable. There were also a few individual mistakes so there is plenty of room for improvement and we’ll start next season from zero again.”
