Albert’s back at the club, and hopefully it won’t be too long before we see him back on the training pitch. If I’m honest, I’m not too sure on the timescale of that. Hopefully, we’re talking not too far away, but it’s one day at a time at the moment. It’s about how he’s testing it and how he’s feeling, how he’s reacting. But hopefully we’re not too far away from that one.”
Gronbaek, 23, joined Southampton on loan from Stade Rennes during the winter transfer window. His last appearance for the Saints was as a late substitute in a 2-1 defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers at St Mary’s Stadium on March 15. Since then, his involvement has been limited due to the ongoing fitness concerns.
The club remains hopeful that Gronbaek’s rehabilitation process will progress smoothly, allowing him to contribute to Southampton’s campaign in the Premier League.
