Arsenal Extend 11 game Unbeaten Run with Convincing Win Over Ipswich Town at Portman Road

Mikel Arteta Arsenal

Arsenal continued their impressive form with a commanding victory over Ipswich Town at Portman Road, extending their unbeaten streak to 11 games. The Gunners secured a crucial 4-0 win, bolstering their position in the race for Champions League qualification.

Leandro Trossard opened the scoring early in the match, setting the tone for Arsenal’s dominant performance. Gabriel Martinelli doubled the lead before Trossard added his second goal of the game in the second half. Ethan Nwaneri sealed the victory with a fourth goal, ensuring Arsenal took home all three points.

Mikel Arteta said: “We’re really happy with the performance. I think the first 35 minutes is one of the best 35 minutes we’ve played this season, at the back of the game in Madrid, and we scored two goals. We could have scored three or four to be fair. We really dominated the game, very high intensity and understanding what we had to do today to win here.”

“When they got the red card, the context of the game changed and we were in control, scored another two goals and made certain rotations. So overall a very positive afternoon.”

On keeping his players fresh for a difficult clash against Crystal Palace, Arteta added: “We have to somehow put 11 players out there and have four or five changes. Let’s see how they recover in the next few days. The good thing is they are willing to play because they like the rhythm as well. We are so used to that rhythm every three days that the boys are demanding and then we don’t have a game on the weekend.”

The Brazilian forward, who continued his impressive goal-scoring form, celebrated his milestone achievement on social media.

Gabriel Martinelli said: “50 goals for the Arsenal. Proud [red heart emoji].”

Mikel Arteta continued: “That’s great – I think he’s in very good form at the moment, full of confidence, looks really sharp as well and he’s arriving in very dangerous situations with very good timing which is good to see.”

Arsenal’s victory not only extended their unbeaten run but also reinforced their credentials as strong contenders for a top-four finish this season. With a challenging fixture against Crystal Palace on the horizon, Arteta emphasized the importance of squad rotation and player recovery.
