Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is not one to be patient with his managers when things aren’t going particularly well and Frank Lampard has admitted that investment into the squad has upped the ante on his role at Chelsea. And Lampard knows that after being backed already before the 2020/21 campaign, that the pressure will definitely be on him next season.
Frank Lampard said “Yeah it probably does, and I get that, There’s pressure in the Chelsea job whatever. There’s expectations to whatever degree, we’re a well supported club, well followed club and scrutiny is big as we know. That’s why we love the Premier League and why we’re trying to do our best. So I don’t mind the idea, I get it. We’re trying to improve here. I’m under no illusions. I want us to improve first and foremost.
