Leeds United caretaker boss Michael Skubala says he is ‘proud’ of his Futsal background and believes it provides him with a different outlook to other coaches.
Michael Skulba said: “First of all, I was a football coach and then moved into Futsal, and then back into football. So the journey is very different but culturally it’s not a different game in other countries such as Brazil, Spain. It’s a bit unusual here but when I decided to have a look at Futsal in a more serious way. I learned a lot around things like tactical decisions, making substitutions. There are some nuances of the game that are different and some things that are similar. So in a way it’s made me a little bit different to some of the other coaches which I am proud of. It’s part of me, it’s part of my journey, my eclectic journey. And I think it gives me sometimes a way of looking at things in a slightly different way.”
