Hammers boss David Moyes has been praised after reportedly getting his team to train at the London Stadium rather than the club’s training ground. Following the return to training last month, Moyes has chosen not return to West Ham’s Rush Heath base, instead opting to use their home ground to get players used to the setting.
Former Coventry striker Noel Whelan says the move could give West Ham an edge over rivals in the relegation battle when the Premier League resumes.
Noel Whelan said “When you are playing on your own turf you get used to the size of the pitch and the environment, I would not be surprised if a few teams do that. It is a good way to get used to playing in the stadium without fans. They have only got a short amount of time so it is a very clever idea from Moyes to do that.”
