The founder of Wolves’ ownership group Fosun, Guo Guangchang, has aired a view of confidence in testing a vaccine for the coronavirus in China. Guangchang is at the head of Fosun’s vast network of business that includes healthcare, retail operations and the management of Wolves. Guangchang committed to his view that a vaccine serves a multitude of purposes. China, the epicentre of the outbreak, currently has multiple participants in vaccine trials for vaccination projects. However, no timescale has been set on the ambitious project.
Guangchang said: “Developing a vaccine is no longer just a matter of fighting the virus. The sooner there’s a vaccine, the more confident people will be and the faster the economy will recover. I don’t ask about other matters in the group every day, but I ask about the vaccine every day.”
