Former Norwich City, Newcastle United, Tottenham and West Brom player Ruel Fox is hoping that Newcastle United fans will finally see some stability at St James’ Park in the shape of a proposed Middle East takeover. The winger played in one of the most entertaining and successful Newcastle sides in the last three decades and says that he hopes that good times come back at Tyne side.
Ruel Fox “The main thing any player wants at a football club is stability, they want to know what is going on at the club. It just feels like a merry-go-round at the minute. This takeover looks a little bit more positive than others but we’re still a little bit on edge. Nobody wants to believe anything until it’s done. Everybody would love a Sir John Hall involved but unfortunately that hasn’t happened. It’s about getting the right people in who understand the football club. You can have owners in who can spend millions like Man City but if you don’t run it in the right way or play a certain way, it’s going to be difficult to win fans over.”
