Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp insists they will not under-estimate Champions League semi-final opponents Villarreal. Last season’s Europa League winners, currently seventh in LaLiga, have beaten Juventus and Bayern Munich to get to the last four and Klopp is determined to make sure his side do not repeat the mistakes of those European giants.
Jurgen Klopp said: “There might have been a little advantage (for Villarreal) in the last two games, maybe Juve or Bayern underestimated them, but that will never happen to us. They are still a really good football team who wants to make history as well. It would be the first time they go to a (Champions League) final, which would be a massive thing to do – but it is to us the same importance. So many coaches out there work their socks off their whole life and have no chance to be close to a semi-final so we have to enjoy it.”
