James McAtee is aiming to get even more first-team experience at Manchester City this season as well as score his first senior goal for the club.
James McAtee said: “I am not really the type of player to set myself goals or targets. I would probably say to try and push to get more appearances. I am excited for the future and I want to see what I can do. I want to improve my goals and get more goals in PL2. Hopefully I can get my first goal for City too.”
McAtee made his Premier League debut for City in the 3-0 win over Everton in November and now he is looking to continue to improve in first-team training.
James McAtee added: “When I made my Premier League debut, I went home that night and I couldn’t sleep. I was so happy. In Premier League 2, I have just tried to add goals to my game and luckily I have been able to. When I first joined in training with the first team the tempo was so fast, but then I got used to it and it has made me such a better player. There is a lot more to come and I have still got a lot to improve on. I can make my game better in many ways. There is so much more to come. I am over the moon to extend my future at this club and to be able to train with the best players and staff in the world. I am really happy. My family are really happy about it and I spoke to them a lot about it. It was a big decision and hopefully, we have made the right one.”
