Kurt Zouma
There is better news when it comes to Zouma, however, who is progressing well with his recuperation from a hamstring injury but as with Cresswell, Moyes has refused to set a date for the centre-back’s return. However, the manager did reveal that Zouma was likely to be back sooner than first expected and has stepped up his recovery efforts.
David Moyes said: “Kurt is coming on and we’re really pleased with where Kurt is. I couldn’t turn around and say he’s going to be back in a week or a month but he’s really positive about his injury, well ahead of schedule at the moment.”
With Zouma, Ogbonna and Cresswell out, Moyes could hand some of his youngsters game time in defence with Craig Dawson and Issa Diop due a rest after a hectic December.
