Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaklu had a devastating impact when he came off the substitute’s bench for his side’s 3-1 win at Aston Villa on Sunday. The Blues had to come from behind after Reece James headed Matt Targett ‘s cross into his own goal with just shy of half-an-hour on the clock.
Romelu Lukakau said: “Today we had to do our job and win the game. Villa have done really well in the last couple of games, credit to Steven Gerrard and his staff and their players. They have a really good team and it was not easy for us, but in the end our quality came through and now we have to push on. Win and that’s it.”
Aside from being very complimentary about Villa, Lukaku’s comments also contrasted with what Chelsea fans were saying on social media.
