Carlo Ancelotti says Farhad Moshiri is “really involved” and always wants to know what is happening at Everton’s training ground – but has never once tried to pressure him over team selections. Ancelotti has described Moshiri, who initially bought a 49.9% stake at Goodison in 2016, as “really passionate” and “kind” and insists he does not interfere in him doing his day-to-day job.
Carlo Ancelotti said: “I have a good relationship with him, We talk a lot. Of course with this pandemic we didn’t have the possibility to meet each other but on the phone, and we don’t talk every day, we talk before and after games. He is really involved and he wants to know what is happening here at Finch Farm. He is really focused, really passionate and in this moment he is really happy. He really hopes that, as we said at the start of the season, we can reach our position. He is also really involved in the new stadium and on Tuesday he received good news on this, so everything is ok. He is really kind with us, with me and the players, and so at the moment everything is ok.”
Ancelotti also says that though Moshiri wants to know about the players and happenings at Finch Farm, he has never attempted to influence his thinking over the team.
Carlo Ancelotti said: “He is the kind of owner who wants to know about the team but he doesn’t put pressure on me,” added the Blues boss. But, honestly, I never received pressure to put in this player or to do this line-up. I never had this kind of problem. There was no owner that told me ‘Put in that player or this player’. I think it’s because they know me.”
