Bruno Lage ‘doesn’t care’ what Pep Guardiola thinks about Wolves’ game-plan against Manchester City. On Guardiola’s post-match comments about Wolves,
Bruno Lage said: “It’s his opinion. I don’t feel anything. He has that opinion about us, I don’t really care. It’s his opinion and I respect him. It’s just one opinion. You can see other opinions since the first day we arrived here. I never talk about how the other team plays. They played that well because maybe they have the players to play that way.”
Jimenez’s red card didn’t help Wolves’ cause against the reigning Premier League champions. The 30-year-old received his first booking for a foul on Rodri in midfield before Jonathan Moss gave him a second within 30 seconds for blocking the resulting free-kick.
Bruno Lage added: “He knows he cannot do that. He took one yellow card and he needs to understand, whether it’s fair or not fair, he has one yellow card and cannot do that. We need him. When I arrived to see him, the way he was there, he was disappointed. We need to move on. He’s an experienced guy and will learn from this mistake.”
