Manchester United could be forced to purchase Juventus’ unwanted winger Federico Chiesa if they wish to part company with Jadon Sancho this summer. Sancho has had an interesting few months. At first, it seemed as though the winger would definitely be sold upon his return from Borussia Dortmund, but Erik ten Hag insisted the hatchet had been buried between the pair and did use the forward during the pre-season tour of the United States. When asked on Saturday why Sancho was not in the team,
Erik Ten Hag said “He’s here. I had a choice to make and we had some issues. We need a full squad and he is one of them. He has to compete for his position and from game to game, we will have a look. In the squad, we need every position double because it’s going to be a long season.”
