Ismael Bennacer was reflecting on why he decided not to join Manchester City, despite their interest in 2015.
Ismael Bennacer said “I was ready. (City) called me and told me ‘we want you to be with the reserves’ and everything. It’s City, man.”
Bennacer continued sharing his experience about his visit to City and the conversation he had with Patrick Vieira, which ultimately influenced his decision.
Ismael Bennacer said “Their facilities were crazy. Amazing. I spoke with Vieira and everything. I liked the talk we had, but the fact they wanted me at the academy, to sleep there… I wanted a flat. That’s why I dropped City. Then there was Arsenal towards the end of July.”
