Scott Parker appears to be committed to getting Fulham back into the Premier League amid links with Tottenham.
Scott Parker said “I’ve been committed since I came here, that’s always been the case. What is key is us, not in the coming days because there’s three games left of the season, but what’s key for me and vitally important for me is that we sit down, analyse and we learn and we’re brave enough to put our hands up. Don’t go through the same cycle, at the moment we’re going through the same cycle. We need to break that cycle and work out what we need to do as a football club to move forward. I will be the first to put my point across, along with all the others to get this club back in the league and stay there. That’s my main aim, I don’t want to come into this league for a season and then be relegated, I want to come into this league and stay in this league and move this club forward.”
Parker is currently the second favorite for the Tottenham job with most bookmakers, behind Lazio boss Simone Inzaghi. Parker’s Fulham were relegated this evening after the Cottagers lost to Burnley, with all three relegation spots now confirmed after West Brom joined Sheffield United in being demoted over the weekend. Despite Fulham falling short, Parker has been praised for his efforts, and that has seen him linked to the Tottenham job after Jose Mourinho was sacked last month. But while he has not categorically ruled anything out, Parker appears to be committed to getting Fulham back into the Premier League after failing to keep them up.
