Mal Donaghy believed that the time was right for Chelsea to halt Manchester United’s impressive unbeaten start to the season. A former Red Devil himself was hoping that Chelsea could take advantage of the international break and capitalize to condemn United to their first defeat of that season.
Mal Donaghy said “They have started off this year in the same way they finished last year. No one has been able to live with them so far and they are just very strong in every department. The competition for places is immense there and I have experienced it first hand during my time in Manchester. But I think with the international break and lot of their players playing in the midweek it could work to our advantage and hopefully we become the first team to beat them this year.”
