#PremierLeagueStories – #PedroNeto compares teammate #DanielPodence to #EdenHazard #WWFC

Pedro Neto and Daniel Podence have been the two stars of Wolverhampton Wanderers’ faltering season. Neto, 20, has stepped out of Diogo Jota’s shadow and become one of Nuno Espirito Santo’s most reliable players. The former Braga and Lazio winger has started 16 of Wolves’ 17 Premier League games this term and has four goals and three assists to his name - already a marginal improvement on his output last season. Podence was made to wait patiently for his chances after joining Wolves from Olympiakos last January but, like his compatriot Neto, he’s become a mainstay in the team. "I call Podence a mini-Hazard, because he has characteristics similar to his,” he told Portuguese newspaper O Jogo. “He always seems to be upset, but it's just his way of being." The high point of both Neto and Podence’s season came against Chelsea at Molineux just before Christmas. Wolves fell behind to Olivier Giroud’s goal before their two Portuguese aces turned the game around. Podence, via a jinking run and a devastating finish, levelled the match midway through the second half before Neto went on a lung-busting run and won it in the fifth minute of stoppage time. It was something natural, the result of the longing for the fans. I didn't even think twice, it was just a moment of pure happiness.”
