Wolverhampton Wanderers will be without Daniel Podence and Ruben Neves when they welcome Burnley to Molineux on Wednesday night. Wolves had to settle for a draw, a goalless one at that, when they visited Norwich City on Saturday and they’ll be keen to get back to winning ways when the Clarets pitch up in the Black Country as part of a round of midweek Premier League fixtures. Boss Bruno Lage is already having to contend with the loss of Willy Boly, who has a muscular injury, and the unfortunate summer signing Yerson Mosquera.
Bruno Lage said: “A few minutes before I talked with you guys yesterday (Friday). I was talking about the squad we have, the injuries, bookings and Covid. Daniel has Covid and Ruben now has five yellow cards. That’s why when we talked before the game it was about that. It will be a test for us and a big test for our squad, that’s why I said I want everyone fit and ready to play. I know December and January will be hard, that’s why it’s important for everyone to be on the pitch.”
