Former Newcastle United favourite Tim Krul has dealt his side a warning ahead of Norwich City’s relegation battle with his old club. The Tuesday night clash sees Krul and co arrive on the back of a 0-0 draw with Wolverhampton Wanderers with Norwich now three points ahead of the Magpies. Krul, now 33, started his senior career on Tyneside and will still be on the end of a positive reception before the serious stuff starts. And Krul has warned his team-mates that they face a tough test,
Tim Krul said: “It’s a huge game up there, not an easy one because they still haven’t won, but they’re a top team on their day and especially at home, so we can’t underestimate that. But we need to look at ourselves. If we hit the targets like we have in the last three games, I think we’re going to be fine.”
A week previously, the players were applauded following the Magpies’ 3-3 draw against Brentford and thousands of supporters even stayed behind at St James’ Park that evening for a lap of appreciation.
