Under pressure Liverpool manager Graeme Souness brushed aside all the talks of his job being under pressure and revealed some of the plans that he had in mind for the upcoming season. Souness’s Liverpool had a terrible season up to that point and another ban from the football association was on the horizon after he abused the linesman in their draw against Crystal Palace.
But Souness was not bothered about all the controversies and laid out his plans and confirmed that he intended to sign at least two leading players before the start of the next season, both of them being Englishmen.
Graeme Souness said “What we have to do is sign two leading Englishmen during the summer to add to the strong squad that we already have. I feel this squad has a lot of potential in it, we underperformed this season but next year it will be different.”
