QPR winger Andy Sinton had hit back at Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson in the row over ‘Battle of the Loftus Road’. Ferguson described some of the tackled made by Rangers players as “dirty” but QPR winger had other thoughts about it. “There was never any malicious intent and if the United manager thinks otherwise it is him who has the problem. I did catch him, but the referee didn’t even give a free-kick and Paul was as good as gold about it. I’m an old pal of his from when he was with rangers and he knows I don’t do that kind of thing intentionally.”
