Manchester United legend Pat Crerand said that no matter what Eric Cantona did from that point onwards, he had already contributed more to Manchester United winning a premier league title then he had for Leeds.
Pat Crerand said “United bought one player but by paying for Cantona at this point in time he galvanized the side. Suddenly the lights are shining at Old Trafford. It’s fully 25 years since there was such a buzz around this place. The expectations are higher and I can compare that against times when United was on top of the league.”
