Crystal Palace claimed the ultimate revenge against Liverpool after the London side knocked the Merseysiders out of the coca-cola cup. Liverpool had prevailed over Palace 5-0 in a league match a few weeks ago and it was followed by a hard-fought draw in the coca-cola cup which resulted in Palace gaining a replay at home ground. The south London side had to come back from behind in extra time to progress to the quarter-finals.
