Fer Lopez
Wolves’ latest addition, Lopez, has swiftly settled into his new surroundings at the club, thanks to the warm reception from his teammates. Known to striker Jorgen Strand Larsen from their time together at Celta Vigo, Lopez was greeted by familiar and new faces alike upon his arrival. With the Norwegian returning late for pre-season due to international commitments, it was Bueno who played a key role in helping Lopez acclimate to the Premier League.
Bueno said: “Having another Spanish guy is very nice. He’s friends with Jorgen; they played together at Celta. The group received him very well and we helped the adaptation to the Premier League and the team. The club, the team, the group, the coaches, every person helps the new players and it’s very important for us. The group is very nice, and every player has a good relationship, and it’s very important.”
Bueno continued: “It was very nice in Portugal (at Wolves’ training camp), I enjoy the group, the friends and the people. It’s very important. The recovery, we enjoy the holidays with family, friends and recover the energy and start 100%.”
Bueno added: “It was very nice to have Wolves team-mates there. For us, it is very, very important. At the end of the day, we have many days, training sessions, lots of hours together. We’re very good friends.”
The camaraderie within the Wolves squad has evidently played a significant role in ensuring Lopez’s smooth transition. The club’s supportive environment, coupled with the presence of familiar faces, has been pivotal in helping the new signing feel at home. Bueno’s comments highlight the importance of team spirit and strong interpersonal relationships within the squad, which are essential for maintaining morale and performance throughout the season.
Lopez’s integration into the team was further facilitated by the club’s pre-season training camp in Portugal, where players had the opportunity to bond and recharge before the new season. This period also allowed Bueno to celebrate his recent marriage, sharing the joyous occasion with his teammates, which further strengthened the sense of unity within the group.
