Everton boss Howard Kendall said he was going to wait until the last possible minute before deciding on his goalkeeper for the upcoming Norwich City match. First choice Neville had missed the Coca Cola cup match due to a collision with Ian Rush in the Mersey derby. And the injury had proved to be more troublesome than initially thought. Kendall refused to speak about the status of on-loan striker Brett Angell.
Howard Kendall said “I shall wait until Saturday morning before talking to Neville and making up my mind. If Neville is not fit, then Jason Kearton will continue. That’s what he is here for. Angell did well, apart from his two-goal and so far I have been pleased with him. I am not saying any more, because he’s here for a month and there’s still some time to go yet.”
