When West Ham traded Julian Dicks to Liverpool for Mike Marsh and David Burrows they would not have imagined how instant an impact the pair would have on the team. The pair made a jubilant start at West Ham and helped them sink Blackburn Rovers 2-0 at Ewood park to wreck Kenny Dalglish’s hopes of going back to the top of the premier league.

Lee Chapman, another new acquisition for West Ham gave them the lead in the 33rd minute and Trevor Morley secured the team’s first away win in the premier league with a second after 71 minutes.
